Prepare to teach

A collaborative taster course entitled Prepare to teach is operated by the Open University in Wales on behalf of UWIC, UW Newport, UW Aberystwyth, SIHE and UW Bangor. The course is funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales.

The subjects offered are: 

  • Secondary English
  • Secondary mathematics
  • Secondary science
  • Secondary modern foreign languages
  • Secondary design & technology
  • Secondary Welsh.

Applicants from outside Wales must intend to teach in Wales and live close enough to be placed in a school in Wales during the course.
