Nationally approved training of SENCOs (special educational needs coordinators) leading to the award of a national SENCO qualification (the national award for SEN coordinators)

The principal aim of the Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA) is to secure an effective school workforce that raises educational standards and improves children’s life chances.

We invite tenders to deliver courses that lead to the awarding of a new national SENCO qualification. Interested providers will be considered for inclusion on an approved supplier list that will be used by schools and local authorities in England. Providers should bid to run courses starting from September 2009, however courses starting later than this will be considered (eg January 2010, September 2010) where circumstances warrant. It is expected that all contracts will end by September 2013.

The TDA now operates an e-procurement system for all tenders and therefore no longer accepts paper copies of bids via the post. Please log-on to www.delta-ets.com and select “Vault” to access a tender information pack using the Tender Access Code (TAC) – 04T996459.

Requesting tender information by any other route could disqualify the bidder.
