Parents, pupils and teachers are invited to nominate their teachers and peers for one of the prestigious awards, which aim to celebrate excellent teaching standards.
Nominations can be made for inspiring headteachers, teachers and teaching assistants while outstanding schools and governors can be put forward for the DfES Teaching Award for Sustainable Schools and the DfES Award for the Governor of the Year, respectively.
Previous winner Gloria Liddaman, of Ongar Place Infant School, said: "When we discovered that our school had been nominated for a Teaching Award we were so touched and moved, particularly as the nomination came from an ex-parent.
"Winning an award is an endorsement of all the hard work that takes place here and gives us a special status. It has really lifted staff morale and has raised the profile of the school locally. Being a Teaching Award winner has given us the opportunity to network with other schools and share good practice."
The Teaching Awards were founded in 1998 by Lord Puttnam of Queensgate and are overseen by independent charity the Teaching Awards Trust.
Nominations can be made online through theĀ Teaching Awards' website.
