St Michael's VA Junior School was put into special measures when Ofsted visited it less than ten years ago, but has now been given a grade one rating, which is the highest any school can achieve, reports the Norwich Evening News.
Headteacher Helen Newell told the paper: "Everyone at St Michael's is delighted with the report. It reflects the hard work and commitment of a very dedicated team and enthusiastic children.
"We aim to provide high quality learning opportunities to all and this report proves that we are successful in doing so. I hope that, like me, the whole of Bowthorpe is very proud of the school."
