Two schools in the Hertfordshire area have welcomed headteachers into their fold, including the former head of an international school in Hong Kong.

The Royston Crow reported that qualified solicitor Jacqueline Bell-Cook will be joining Melbourn Primary School, bringing 25 years of international experience after working in the Chinese semi-autonomous region as well as Austria.

Ms Bell-Cook said she would aim "to maintain and raise the standards further", as well as "broaden the curriculum to include more music and art".

Another school, Guilden Morden Primary, is also welcoming Judy Major to its ranks as headteacher, bringing with her some 20 years of experience.

She said of her new job: "What I really like is a small school with a family and community feel."
