The Sleaford Standard reported that Helen Fulcher is to become the new headteacher of Church Lane Primary School in Sleaford, although it will not impact on her weekend job as a referee for the local football divisions, currently officiating in the United Counties League.
Ms Fulcher's achievements include working as an assistant referee in the women's FA Cup final between Arsenal and Leeds in front of 25,000 people at the City Ground in Nottingham, as well as refereeing international women's matches in Serbia, Scandinavia and Spain.
She said of her next challenge: "The children are great and I'm looking forward to getting started. The school has fantastic staff and having a nursery is new for me and very exciting.
"The learning environment is great and the children enjoy coming to school."
Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Primary School in Sleaford also got a new headteacher this year, with Sarah Weldon stepping up from her job as a reception teacher.
