The BETT Show 2010

Once again, we attended the BETT Show at Olympia, which ran 13-16 January 2010. This is the largest educational technology event in the world, with last year’s show attended by around 30,000 people.

As well as promoting continuing professional development (CPD), the new Masters in Teaching and Learning and the teacher training resource bank, we held four seminars. They included ‘The Latest Developments Supporting E-Safety’, which covered the safety of children when using online resources and the internet, and ‘The So what! Factor: evaluation of ICT in initial teacher training evaluating the use of technology in the training of potential teachers’.

We exhibited with the Department for Children, Schools and Families and had a number of TDA representatives present. The show was well-attended and we received positive feedback on the TDA’s work from both British and international visitors.
