Train to Teach: forthcoming events

For anyone interested in becoming a teacher, the TDA’s annual ‘Train to Teach’ events are the perfect opportunity to get all your questions about a career in teaching answered. Events are run by the TDA across the regions, so prospective teachers can find out exactly what teacher training options are available locally.

The Train to Teach events are being hosted this year by the TDA in February and March in Manchester, London and Birmingham. Would-be teachers can attend and make the most of the career advisers, teaching experts and seminars available on the day to help them make an informed decision about a career in teaching.

Attendees will get plenty of one-to-one advice, while a series of seminars is set to run throughout the day. The seminars will cover a range of topics including routes into teaching, advice on how to make a successful teacher training application and insights into what happens on a PGCE course.

Delegates will also have the chance to speak to teachers and hear about their experiences first-hand, and to meet local teacher training course providers.

The events are free and take place as follows:

  • Train to Teach – North
    Manchester: 26 – 27 February
  • Train to Teach – London & South East
    London: 5 – 6 March
  • Train to Teach – Midlands
    Birmingham: 19 – 20 March
