Teachers in the den

Teachers currently practicing (or with an idea) for innovative use of mobile or ubiquitous technologies in teaching are invited to enter the ‘den’ and present their concept or work to a jury panel of pupils, policy makers and parents – and a live audience.

This is a fun way of showcasing some of the latest ideas and practices amongst teachers, whilst getting the views of the young learners involved. The panel will need to be convinced of the innovative merit of the idea/practice, how it improves learning and whether it is sustainable.

The winner will receive a £1,000 grant from Handheld Learning to assist in the further development of the idea or practice along with mentoring, where relevant, during its development. The winner will also be given the opportunity to present in the main Handheld Learning Conference.

The Den takes place in London on 13 October as part of the Handheld Learning Conference and entry is free. The closing date for entries is 31 July and successful entrants will be notified by 8 September. For further information, visit the Handheld Learning  website.
