Staffroom Monologues is a series of five short plays, three for television, and two audio dramas, based on the winning scripts of the Teachers TV 2008 competition. This funny and perceptive take on life in the classroom stars Tamsin Greig and is introduced by award-winning screenwriter Ashley Pharoah.
Syria: Refugee Lives
This trio of programmes, comprising Iraqi Children Speak, Iraqi Teenagers Speak and Teaching Iraqi Children, examines the implications of the fact that thousands of Iraqis flee to Syria due to continuing violence in Iraq. The first two programmes explore life for young refugees in Damascus and the third explains how Syrian teachers are responding to the challenge of teaching the large number of Iraqi refugee children registering at schools in Damascus.
Supersonic With The LSO and Teaching Supersonic With The LSO
This pair of programmes is designed for use in lessons and demonstrates how teachers can use orchestral resources in the classroom. Supersonic is a piece of music written to show the various genres of classical music. It features every instrument in the orchestra and contains lyrics and performance parts designed for key stage 2 children to learn about the evolution of the orchestra, styles of music and instruments.
