Eligible newly qualified teachers (NQTs) in the North West and some other schools facing challenging circumstances (SfCCs) and National Challenge schools elsewhere have already enrolled on the centrally-funded MTL.
Graham Holley, chief executive at the TDA, said: "We want every eligible new teacher to take full advantage of the funding available to them and enrol on to the MTL. The qualification is going to help teachers meet the individual learning needs of every child. The benefits of MTL will spread much wider than the individual teacher. This new ground-breaking qualification will help build an ethos of shared learning in schools to the benefit of the whole system."
See our MTL pages for more information. The Guardian has also recently run a special report on MTL in association with the TDA, with articles, case studies, links and contact details for further information and advice.
