The Department for Children Schools and Families has produced an eight-page booklet on addressing misbehaviour in schools for use by parents, carers and school staff. It details schools’ powers and parents’ responsibilities.
This booklet is written primarily for parents and carers but is also helpful to members of school staff, such as parent support advisers, who have conversations with parents. It covers matters such as searching children’s bags, physical intervention and exclusion. You can download a copy
