Celebrating Anglo-French educational links, the event was designed to coincide with the recent visit of French President, Nicolas Sarkozy. Several initial teacher training initiatives were showcased, publicising the TDA’s innovative approach to language teaching. Highlighted projects included video-conferencing between English and French schools, a virtual classroom pilot programme for English and French schools, foreign language short films as a teaching resource and a drama project requiring English and French schools to produce and perform foreign language plays collaboratively using ICT.
