Plans

The TDA plans featured in this section are:

Strategic plan 2008-13
Our strategic plan sets out our strategic aims, objectives and performance measures.

Sustainable development action plan
The UK’s sustainable development strategy, outlined in Securing the future (TSO, 2005), commits all government departments and agencies to producing a sustainable development action plan (SDAP). These plans will form a key part of the overall monitoring and review mechanism for ensuring sustainable development policies are delivered across government.

Special educational needs and disabilities
Evidence from Ofsted, schools and parents show that new teachers would benefit from more support in teaching pupils with special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities.

Skills strategy for the wider school workforce 2006-09
The school workforce development board (SWDB) three-year strategy presents a vision for achieving a sustainable increase in workforce skills from 2006 to 2009.

Building the school team: one-year interim plan 2005-06
Our plan to create a school workforce where everyone has information and access to high quality training and development.

The extended remit
The government asked The Teacher Training Agency (TTA) to take on a wider role - working with schools to help them develop and train their whole school team. On 1 September 2005 the TTA became the Training and Development Agency for schools (TDA).
