Publication summary

Developed with NCSL and with the direct involvement of more than 200 schools, the School improvement planning framework is a suite of 25 tools and techniques designed to help schools take their planning, strategic thinking and implementation and impact evaluation to the next level.

Included is an introduction which provides an overview of the framework and explains how schools and local authorities (LAs) are using it to improve Every Child Matters (ECM) outcomes, raise standards of achievement for all, and maximise and demonstrate impact.

The accompanying DVD has video guides to seven of the tools and video case studies showing the framework in action at schools around the country, as well as views of thought leaders from the National College for School Leadership, Department for Children, Schools and Families and leading educationalists.
