Induction to the workplace and intorductory training helps new teaching assistants and support staff to understand their role, feel confident in their work and be effective members of the school team.
We have produced introductory training materials for teaching assistants and school support staff. Induction training should provide an introduction to important developments in education, such as Every Child Matters, the national curriculum and ways of managing behaviour.
The materials are useful for school leaders but can also support local authorities in delivering introductory training courses.
