Nationally recognised qualifications must meet strict criteria to be accredited to the national qualifications framework (NQF).
The framework is maintained by the three regulatory authorities, the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA), the Qualifications, Curriculum and Assessment Authority for Wales (ACCAC) and the Northern Ireland Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA).
The framework helps you and your staff to see how different types of qualification compare and to identify career progression routes. For more information about the framework, including level indicators, follow the link to the QCA site.
