Training schools consultants
Our five dedicated and experienced consultants will guide you through the process of applying to be a training school, from exploring the application process through to induction, helping you develop and review your plans during the designation.

Exchange Practice Visits programme
This initiative allows training school managers or colleagues involved in training school work to spend time visiting training schools in other government regions.
The TDA will reimburse supply cover, accommodation and travel costs for colleagues taking part in this programme. The visits should be between one and five working days, although the days don’t have to be consecutive. The host training school will be funded to release their training school manager to work alongside the visiting colleague(s) during the visit.
Following the visit, a short report will need to be submitted to the TDA, detailing how the experience will influence practice in school. Reciprocal visits can be arranged and a longer-term buddying relationship established. Schools have the option of taking part in more than one visit.
