Continuing professional development database

You can now publish continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities online using the national CPD database.

Who is the CPD database for?

It aims to be the first port of call for anyone looking for CPD opportunities, from teachers and support staff to those who search for CPD on their behalf, such as CPD leaders and local authority coordinators. The database will help schools to make informed choices about what training to purchase, and improve the impact and quality of development opportunities. The database is not limited to any particular audience or part of the country.

Training providers can register CPD opportunities on the database at no cost. Providers must sign up to the TDA’s code of practice, which aims to ensure that they adhere to a set of minimum requirements for high-quality CPD. This gives confidence to those searching for CPD opportunities.

How do I get started?

Training providers can sign up and publish CPD activities for free – just follow the instructions or contact the dedicated helpdesk for more assistance.

Register and publish CPD opportunities.

CPD providers who sign up now can take advantage of the TDA’s forthcoming marketing activities around the database. From February, providers will be able to monitor visitor trends on their pages with the statistics facility.

If your public sector organisation has a large portfolio of CPD opportunities, you may be eligible for our free service to convert and upload it to our database on your behalf. This service is limited to a small number of organisations, so register your interest as soon as possible by e-mailing cpddatabase@tda.gov.uk.

The database is also free to search and browse, and there is no need for individuals to register.
