The interim round 2006-2009

In June 2005 the Training and Development Agency for Schools (formerly known as the Teacher Training Agency) invited applications for additional and new funding under the first interim round of the postgraduate professional development (PPD) programme.

After assessment against the quality criteria, 14 applications were awarded funding to support provision of postgraduate learning and development opportunities for teachers in England. Many of these were from current providers but the interim round also awarded funding to 6 new providers of PPD and significantly increased capacity in government regions such as the North West, Yorkshire, the West Midlands and London.
