Role and responsibilities

An overseas trained teacher can choose to be assessed against the induction standards at the same time as the qualified teacher status (QTS) standards. If they choose not to be assessed against the induction standards at the same time as the QTS standards, or are assessed and do not meet them, they will undertake induction in the same way as any other newly qualified teacher (NQT).
