The aim of this requirement is to ensure that all those who contribute to an initial teacher training (ITT) partnership work together to establish a partnership agreement which sets out clearly the roles and responsibilities for managing the partnership, financial arrangements, the contributions of each partner, and how these will be met across the various contexts in which the training takes place. Clearly specified roles and responsibilities should help all partners understand what is expected of them and enable providers to set an agenda for professional training that will ensure all involved have the capacity to make their contribution to a well integrated and professional training programme.
