The quality and inspection teams major areas of responsibility are for monitoring the quality of potential and existing provision of initial teacher training (ITT) and for the TDA's liaison and developmental work with Ofsted.
The team is also responsible for post-Ofsted inspection action planning and for managing support for providers in recovery following an inspection.
The team works closely with Ofsted to ensure that timely and appropriate inspection and other evidence is used to assure and improve the quality of ITT, and to intervene when issues arise.
