Partnership development schools
Partnership Development Schools (PDS) Programme ran from 2006-2009 supporting the creation of collaborative partnerships of schools and ITT providers; it aims to improve the quality and number of school placements for trainee teachers.
Training schools
Training schools are schools that have attained high performing specialist schools status (HPSS), and focus on initial teacher training and continuing professional development, as well as outreach and dissemination.
Provider link advisers
Provider link advisers (PLAs) are regional consultants who work with initial teacher training (ITT) providers on the areas of recruitment, funding and development.
