The Teacher training resource bank (TTRB) web portal provides research and evidence-based resources for the teacher training community.
Users have access to a wide range of resources, all of which we consider authoritative, relevant and credible. Teacher educators review – for quality – every piece of material included in the TTRB. The TTRB accesses resources from other TDA-funded networks: Multiverse, Behaviour4Learning and 16 individual subject resource networks.
Resources are searchable by subject, keywords, author, glossary term and QTS standard.
Users are able to browse the TTRB by the 2007 QTS standards, with these resources being linked to and from the TDA QTS guidance.
The portal includes:
- E-librarian service
- a glossary of educational terms
- audio visual clips, including over 100 Teachers’ TV resources
- subject-specific information and resources
- current debates
- an extensive database of educational research, and
- research and information linked to QTS standards.
E-librarian
The Teacher training resource bank (TTRB) offers a personalised support service to users, with an E-librarian based at the

Users who ask a question are asked to indicate to the librarian where they have previously searched and what they have found so far, so work is not duplicated. Responses are circulated within two working days, and subsequently made available to other users on the TTRB.
