Special educational needs and disabilities tutor network (SENT)

The SENT mailing list is an e-mail listing service for special educational needs (SEN) tutors and others involved in SEN and disabilities training for teachers.

The service has been established as part of a TDA programme to strengthen teacher training in SEN and disabilities.

If you are interested in joining, please send an e-mail to sent@tda.gov.uk.

The purpose of the SENT mailing list is to facilitate better access to specialist expertise on teaching pupils with SEN and disabilities by creating a national network of teacher trainers.

Members are invited to share information about inclusion and issues around teaching pupils with SEN and disabilities. The aim is to develop a resource of effective practice that will inform tutors’ knowledge and understanding. Once established, we propose to strengthen the network by holding online seminars and a TDA-hosted conference.

This service forms part of the government's 'Removing barriers to achievement' strategy. For information on other parts of the programme, use the SEN and disability link in the right hand column.

This service has been developed in collaboration with the Institute of Education, University of London and Becta.
