The open schools programme
This is for people at the early stages of considering a career in teaching. It gives an opportunity to spend an observation day in a school.
The school introduction programme
This is for successful, priority subject applicants who need help in finding structured school experience as part of their ITT conditional offer.
Students associates scheme (SAS)
The student associates scheme (SAS) gives students the opportunity to gain classroom experience while pursuing their studies. The scheme supports recruitment of able and committed students to initial teacher training (ITT) and raising levels of attainment and aspiration of young people in schools - widening participation (WP).
The taster course programme
This is a three-day programme aimed at people close to making the decision to apply for ITT. It gives an insight into the challenges and rewards of teaching and teacher training.
