Research and evaluation

A strong evidence base informs the planning and delivery of training and development for the wider workforce.

The collection and analysis of evidence and intelligence: 

  • Helps us understand what is working well with existing training and development programmes and where improvements are needed;
  • Identifies gaps and barriers to training and development for support staff at national and local level.

In this section research has been grouped under 'TDA commissioned research' and 'Partner research'. 

Research evidence and data has been used to inform the development of the 'School workforce development board's three-year strategy'. See right-hand column for link.
