School workforce advisers provide information, support and guidance on all aspects of training and development for the whole school workforce.
Each local authority employs an adviser, partly funded by the Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA), whose role includes working with schools and the authority to raise the quality and impact of training and development, and to identify and share effective practice.
School workforce advisers also feed local ideas about skills gaps and training and development priorities back to the TDA to help us develop appropriate support.
