All qualifications referred to are accredited to either the national qualifications framework (NQF) or the framework for higher education qualifications (FHEQ) developed by the regulatory authorities, the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) and the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA).
All qualifications are accredited to a framework level that relates to the depth of the skills and knowledge required from you. This means qualifications at the same level on the framework are not always identical in size or content even where they have the same or similar titles. For example, a small, specialist qualification may be at the same level as a full NVQ.
When choosing a qualification, you should consider how well it matches the requirements of your role and whether it supports opportunities for further progression.
