Support staff working in schools do not pay anything for SWiS qualifications.
TDA CEO Graham Holley says: “the TDA is delighted to be funding the Support work in schools (SWiS) qualifications in 2007-08. From May, local authorities will receive funding from the TDA to extend training opportunities to meet the development needs of school support staff. Demand for training will be learner- and employer-led and delivered in partnership with existing and new local training providers.”
