NQT induction
In your first three terms as a teacher, you can expect a tailored programme of training and support designed to equip you for the classroom and lay the foundations for your future development.
On 14 September 2011, the
consultation on the proposed changes to the newly qualified teacher (NQT) induction regulations for teachers in England
was launched.
There is no such thing as a standard programme because induction is unique to each new teacher. But you can expect to work with and observe other teachers in action, visit other schools and take part in formal training. At the end, you will be assessed against a set of national standards.
