Building a CPD policy

Test your policy development skills

Reviewing or creating a continuing professional development (CPD) policy gives schools the opportunity to consider their approach to CPD. Every school needs to create a policy that meets its individual needs; an off-the-shelf policy will not be suitable.

It’s important that your policy document is well constructed and a degree of skill is required to create an effective document.

How to use this tool

Test your skill at constructing a CPD policy. Choose at least 10 statements from the following list by clicking each statement you want to include. When you have finished, click the evaluation button to see an evaluation of your choices and your score out of a total of 20 points.

This activity is designed to highlight some important features of good CPD policies in a light-hearted way – don’t take your score too seriously!
