Subject associations represent professionals involved in the teaching of a specific discipline or other area of common interest. They provide a forum for discussing issues of common concern, identifying areas of common practice and sharing information on topics of mutual interest.
Associations generally hold annual conferences and produce newsletters and journals. These are excellent ways of getting involved in the community, learning from and sharing experiences with colleagues. Subject-specific induction packs are often available from subject associations.
