Role and responsibilities
Overseas trained teachers can choose to be assessed against the core standards at the same time as the qualified teacher status (QTS) standards. If you choose not to be assessed against the core standards at the same time as the QTS standards, or are assessed and do not meet them, you will undertake induction in the same way as any other newly qualified teacher (NQT).
