Classroom observation and other evidence

A national model for a classroom observation protocol will be published as part of a model performance management policy. Each school will need to develop its own protocol.

There is now much more emphasis on the focus and purpose for classroom observation and its implementation, which will be agreed upon by you and your reviewer at the planning meeting.

Once a classroom observation has been conducted, you will receive feedback as a priority within a relatively short period of time.

To get a better understanding of the benefits, you are advised to read the relevant sections in the revised performance management regulations and RIG’s guidance (see links in the downloads column).
