Fast track teaching

You may have gained valuable work experience in a leadership role outside your teaching career. This can provide essential transferable skills when you return to teaching.

Fast track teaching is an accelerated leadership development programme for teachers in the early years of their career. It provides a highly personalised programme of coaching, mentoring and development activities to help teachers develop the skills required to take on a senior leadership role in education such as:

  • assistant head
  • deputy head
  • excellent teacher, or
  • advanced skills teacher.
