The TDA works with partners to support the development of the school workforce. The National Strategies has developed training resources that aim to provide basic support to raise awareness, confidence and competence of school and early years staff to help identify and meet children’s needs. Resources on speech, language and communication needs and dyslexia are currently available and resources on autism will follow in 2009.

The resources are available on the National Strategies website and in DVD format. The materials include a DVD for initial teacher training providers – produced in consultation with specialist voluntary sector organisations and higher education institutions.
