At the test centre
Ensure you have received the e-mail booking confirmation. If not, you are advised to log onto the booking website and select "view booked tests".
Arriving at the centre
- QTS skills tests are delivered via the national network of Pearson Professional Centres (PPCs). Centres are Pearson VUE branded; no TDA signage will be displayed
-
PPCs deliver a wide range of tests for clients in addition to the TDA, such as the Driving Standards Agency, so candidates other than trainee teachers may be testing at the same time.
- Arrive at the test centre at least 15 minutes before your test is due to commence. If you arrive too late to sit the test, you will need to book a new test. You may have to allow up to 24 hours to re-book a missed test.
- Bring the booking confirmation email with you to the test centre.
- Please sign in and take your place quietly.
When attending a test centre please be aware of the following:
- You must provide two pieces of adequate ID before you can complete the test.
- Read and understand the test rules before arriving at the test centre and adhere to the rules at all times once in the test centre.
- Ensure all personal items including, but not limited to, mobile phones, hand-held computers/personal digital assistants (PDAs) or other electronic devices, pagers, watches, wallets, purses, caps, hats and hoods, bags, coats, jackets, books, notes, glasses cases, bottles, drinks or other containers/ holders are placed in the personal storage lockers provided.
- If a problem occurs whilst taking your test, indicate to the administrator that you need help and do not approach the desk at any time in PPCs.
- All administrators have been fully trained in the testing system and will try to help you with any problems you have. Please treat them courteously.
- The waiting area, in the majority of test centres, is designed to facilitate the needs of the candidate alone. There are no provisions for child minding.
- When you have finished the test, collect your result from the test administrator and leave as quietly as possible.
Pearson Vue has its own regulations on conduct and behaviour and staff are at liberty to exercise and enforce these in the event of any inappropriate behaviour.
If any issues arise at a test centre which you believe should be brought to our attention, we would appreciate your feedback so that we can improve the experience for those taking their tests in the future. Please contact the test centre helpdesk.
