All ITT providers must ensure:
That all entrants: as part of the provider's selection procedures, have taken part in an interview designed to assess their suitability to teach.

The interview is an opportunity to explore aspects of applicants’ potential that cannot be fully conveyed in a written application – for example, their personal qualities and potential to meet the qualified teacher status (QTS) standards relating to professional attributes. It is also an opportunity to establish an applicant’s true identity.
